This is the last edition of our newsletter for 2017. The Annual exhibition has been held and the awards have been presented. As we have done in previous years I have published an article showcasing the best of everyone’s work from the annual exhibition. Be patient, sometimes the article grows as more people get their images and information to me. I have created 2 banners from this years Annual exhibition. Above is a web based design from my own image and below “the boat house” from Howard Seaman.
The 31 day challenge is underway once again. the challenge is to take 31 pictures – 1 a day – during the month of December and post them on the club Flickr web page. This year there seems to be a strong monochrome theme. I have created a banner from pne of these images. It is a cactus from one of our past presidents, David Douglas Martin. Go to the club Flickr page to see all the fun.
Bruce and Isabel Nankivell have been doing walking tours and I have a photo essay from Bruce about Kangaroo Island and Jatbulla near Katherine. I enjoy good travel writing and Bruce has certainly not disappointed us in this area.
Lastly I have a couple of quizzes. Have you read the articles from Camera clips in 2017? If you have digested the information, you should have no difficulty with our 2017 quiz. If you struggle, I have included links to the articles so that you can look up the answers. The second quiz is the shutter speed challenge from a quiz night we ran several years ago. Can you correctly match the pictures to their shutter speeds? It should be easy. You may learn a thing or two about using shutter speed for creative photography. Check it out.
Well that’s over and out for 2017. I hope that you enjoy our final camera clips article for this year.
